In Japan and Taiwan, the practical way to print a photograph or a document is not a home printer but the machine in a convenience store: upload the file, get a reference number, and collect the print. The same applies to school and business jobs in the Philippines and Indonesia, where the street print shop is the printer.
Those machines care about three things a browser print dialog does not: the sheet must match one they stock, the file must be a single JPEG or PDF, and the size must be honoured rather than fitted. This tool produces a file with the sheet fixed to a supported size and the content at true scale.
Frequently asked questions
What file should I bring or upload?
A single PDF where possible, or a single JPEG. Store machines accept both but handle multi-page PDFs more predictably, and a multi-file job is the most common reason a collection code does not work.
Which sizes do the machines actually stock?
A4 and B4 everywhere; A3 at most Japanese and Taiwanese stores; はがき at Japanese stores; 4 × 6 in photo paper at most. Sizes outside that list are the ones to avoid specifying, however much you would prefer them.
Why did my print come out smaller than the file?
Most likely the file carried no defined page size, so the machine fitted it to its default rather than honouring your dimensions. Producing the file here sets the page box explicitly, which removes that ambiguity.
Are my files uploaded anywhere by this tool?
No. The file is prepared in your browser and downloaded to your device; you upload it to the store yourself, or carry it in. This tool never sends it anywhere.
